The “resistance” isn’t working. The left’s efforts to destroy President Trump’s presidency have failed. Voters are so unimpressed with their efforts that Trump’s approval ratings are rising in the midst of multiple scandals.
According to the Rasmussen Reports, “50% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Forty-nine percent (49%) disapprove. The latest figures include 32% who Strongly Approve of the way the president is performing and 40% who Strongly Disapprove.”
Trump is already a lot more popular than Barack Obama was and he’s grappling with unfriendly media networks. The left tried to take Trump down via Robert Mueller, the special prosecutor, but the investigation hasn’t turned anything up. Mueller admits Trump isn’t even a target of the criminal probe.
Liberals are already in damage control mode.
“Over this period, Rasmussen’s polls had Obama’s approval lower than the average 93 percent of the time. It had Trump’s higher than the average 99 percent of the time. And that’s despite Rasmussen’s polls being included in the average, meaning that Rasmussen outperforms the average even after pulling the average in a pro-Trump or anti-Obama direction,” writes the Washington Post.
They’re trying combat Trump’s popularity be pretending that it doesn’t exist. It’s the same strategy that got Hillary Clinton in so much trouble during the last election. Instead of reckoning with the fact that Trump’s approval rating is soaring, liberal media outlets are attacking the source of the polls.
Neither the Mueller scandal nor the Stormy Daniels saga are enough to take down Trump’s White House. Voters simply don’t care. The economy is thriving and unemployment is falling. That’s what matters. Who cares about Daniels when the economy is strong and people feel confident that they’ll be able to find employment?
The Mueller investigation got a lot of attention at first but it’s fizzled. Most people don’t believe that Trump colluded with the Russians.
