Impeachment is a word that the Left loves to throw around a lot whenever there’s a Republican president. For most of Bush Jr.’s presidency, there was a significant chorus continually clamoring for his head, and with Trump, it’s no different. Make no mistake, even if moderates like McCain or Romney had become president, they would have still been labeled as radicals in due time, as it’s standard operating procedures for the Left.
One of the first clowns on Trump impeachment train way back last year was Maxine Waters. “Auntie” Maxine has been milking the Trump presidency, riding a wave of popularity fueled by her asinine attacks on him. Of course, with controversy swirling over the president’s supposed “sh*thole” comments, Waters would be remiss if she didn’t take the opportunity to slander the president.
As reported at the American Mirror, on Friday Waters released the most predictable statement imaginable concerning the latest Trump controversy.
“Donald Trump is a racist and indecent man with no good values who is woefully unfit and undeserving of the office in which he serves,” she declared in a tweeted statement.
She added he’s a “deeply flawed human being with no understanding of public policy…” and his alleged comment “underscores everything we already know about him: he is a hopeless and ignorant bigot.”
When asked about what exactly she’s hoping to accomplish with her impeach Trump movement, Waters said, “I have learned over the years that I’ve been in this business that there a few people who are willing to speak truth to power and to talk about what really is bothering our society and our democracy. It is not thought well of to step outside of that box,” Waters said on Bloomberg TV.
“When I talk about impeachment, I describe what I think about this president. I think he’s deplorable and I think he defined himself in the campaign the way that he mocked and mimicked a disabled journalist, the way he talked about grabbing women by their private parts,” she said.
“The way he called names of his peers, etc., etc.,” Waters told Bloomberg.
“I think that’s unacceptable, and for people to allow this kind of behavior to be normalized is beyond what I believe our democracy should be all about, and so I encourage people and I inspire people and I show people that you don’t have to be intimidated. You don’t have to be afraid and you don’t have to be traditional,” she said.
There’s not much to say about Waters’ gambit other than it’s completely deluded and detached from reality. But then again, in the current year, things are pretty Twilight Zone-like, so it actually wouldn’t be that surprising if the Left somehow twisted “name-calling” into a viable impeachment effort.
But assuming we’re living in a somewhat sane and rational country still, there’s no way this impeachment stuff goes anywhere, which Waters and her comrades are very aware of. Pushing for it is a win-win for them, however, as they earn cred either way.
