Propaganda has always been a huge issue in America. While it wasn’t really until the last 2 years that the whole “fake news” meme took off, the reality is that leftists have been manipulating the masses via every media avenue for decades.
But you wouldn’t know that by the way they wring their hands over what they claim are fake news stories actually helping Trump. Anyone with a room temperature IQ and an ounce of honesty knows that it’s not right-wing views dominating the airwaves, it’s radical leftism. Trump has been attacked from every angle imaginable since he stepped into the political ring, with fake news about him abounding every day. Rather than allow leftists to lie and slander him at every turn, the president has consistently hit back at his deceitful critics, and on Wednesday, he handed out fake news awards to his most dishonest critics.
As reported at the New York Post, Trump’s long-awaited “Fake News Awards” were announced Wednesday, and while the competition was fierce, the New York Times’ Paul Krugman took the top spot.
Krugman won the award for his outrageous fear-mongering over the how Trump’s victory would affect the economy. The senile economist “claimed on the day of President Trump’s historic, landslide victory that the economy would never recover,” according to the list of awards posted on the RNC’s website. Well, Krugman’s almost always wrong, and all one has to do is check out the fantastic employment, growth, and stock market numbers that have exploded since Trump defeated Hillary.
As for second place, who else but ABC News’ Brian Ross, whose “reporting” error caused a temporary crash in the stock market. As for the disgraced CNN, the network took home third, sixth, seventh, and ninth,
The president announced the winners via his Twitter, saying, “And the FAKE NEWS winners are…,” along with a link to the results. In a surprising turn, the link containing the results redirected to the RNC’s website, meaning the group has taken over duty of dealing out the awards. It’s funny considering the RNC’s less than spirited support for Trump during the election and since.
While the award list was more of a top ten, the president threw in a bonus story for 11th place saying, “And last, but not least: “RUSSIA COLLUSION! Russian collusion is perhaps the greatest hoax perpetrated on the American people. THERE IS NO COLLUSION!”
There’s certainly a laundry list of stories and folks that could have taken home the top prize, seeing how we receive numerous candidates every day. The fake news perpetuating media has relentlessly pumped out propaganda designed to undermine the president while at the same time, crying about the fake news problem. Pointing the finger at the conservative media, which is a drop in the ocean compared to the Left.
Hopefully, this awards ceremony will be the first of many, as there are still many years left in the Trump presidency and it’s no question the fake news will continue against him.
