America’s trust in its legal system is at risk of being irreparably harmed. Startling accusations are swirling against the FBI. Former agency director James Comey’s bungling missteps in the Clinton email investigation were painful enough, the latest scandal could blow apart the entire agency.
A secret, anti-Trump society within the FBI allegedly exists. The matter is so serious Republicans are demanding a special prosecutor be appointed to look into it.
Secret lovers. A possible plot against the president. Discreet meetings arranged between government officials. It reads likes snippets plucked from a James Bond. The story of the FBI’s secret society begins with a pair of lovers, FBI official Peter Strzok and his mistress Lisa Page.Thousands of text messages between the pair reveals the disturbing, treasonous reality of our modern FBI.
“No. We have to dig into it — this is not a distraction. Again, this is bias — potentially corruption — at the highest levels of the FBI,” Sen. Ron Johnson told Fox News.
“By the way… Robert Mueller used to run the FBI. He is in no position to do an investigation over this kind of misconduct… So I think at this point in time we probably should be looking at a special counsel to undertake this investigation — but Congress is going to have to continue to dig.”
Every part of the story reeks of corruption. The damning text messages were released to Congress….except for the five months worth of messages that the FBI somehow “failed to preserve.”
Democrats are worrying themselves sick over imaginary concerns involving President Trump and Russia while a legitimate scandal blossoms under their noses.
“When you see this kind of bias and corruption in the FBI you have to ask the question, are there similar individuals highly biased — political operatives burrowed into the Department of Justice as well. Does Attorney General Sessions really have a department he can rely on and trust as well?” Sen. Ron Johnson wondered.
The day after President Trump was elected, Strzok and Page texted about hosting a secret meeting.
“”You have this insurance policy in the Spring of 2016 and then the day after the election … there’s a text exchange between these two FBI agents — these two (supposed to be objective, fact-centric) FBI agents saying, ‘perhaps this is the first meeting of the secret society,'” Sen. Trey Gowdy explained.
“So of course I’m gonna want to know what ‘secret society’ are you talking about — because you’re supposed to be investigating objectively the person who just won the Electoral College…If any wrongdoing were to be found to have caused this gap, appropriate legal disciplinary action measures will be taken.”
James Comey may not have been an outlier. The FBI might be corrupt to its core.
