I Think Maxine Waters Forgot About Admitting That Obama Wiretapped Politicians. Let’s Remind Her

If you’ve been keeping up with the news at all, you know that Democratic Representative Maxine Waters of California has been making us all laugh with her ridiculous objections to everything President Trump, Trump administration or even Trump adjacent.

In honor of today being “throwback Thursday,” I’d like to show you some of the lunacy from a few years back.

Here’s a clip of her in 2013 when she discussed an Obama “database” on politicians and any potential Presidential candidate. In the video she says:

“The President has put in place an organization with the kind of database that no one has ever seen before in life,” Representative Maxine Waters told Roland Martin on Monday. “That’s going to be very, very powerful,” Waters said. “That database will have information about everything on every individual on ways that it’s never been done before and whoever runs for President on the Democratic ticket has to deal with that. They’re going to go down with that database and the concerns of those people because they can’t get around it. And he’s [President Obama] been very smart. It’s very powerful what he’s leaving in place.”

Nobody is exactly clear as to the use, or parameters of this database, but it sure doesn’t sound constitutional to me. It kind of sounds like she is saying that Obama was in the business of collecting information to be used in the next presidential race. I.e. the 2016 election cycle . . . you know, the one where President Trump was wiretapped and just found out about it?

If that wasn’t incriminating enough, Waters went on an unprovoked rant when invited to comment on the backlash she has received for her harsh criticism of President Trump and his administration.

See if this sounds like she’s admitting to the wiretapping on Obama’s behalf. ‘Cause that’s what it sounds like to me.

I think if I were a news anchor and I was kinda tired and didn’t really have anything to talk about, I would invite Waters on my show to break news that I wasn’t even looking for. My favorite part of that clip, after the part where she implicates our former Communist in Chief, is the anchors face watching her while she’s just saying all kinds of incriminating things, unprompted.
