On Edge: Man Arrested For Threatening To Gun Down CNN Employees
A deranged teenager has been calling CNN and issuing death threats. Brandon Griesemer called the network a whopping 22 times this month, peppering the conversations with homophobic and racist slurs.
“Fake news. I’m coming to gun you all down,” Griesemer hissed during one of the calls.
“I’m smarter than you. More powerful than you. I have more guns than you. More manpower. Your cast is about to get gunned down in a matter of hours.”

Investigators aren’t sure if it was a serious threat, but it was still a terrifying experience for employees. CNN is an obsolete network with shoddy ethics, but its workers deserve a safe environment.
“I am coming to Georgia right now to go to the CNN headquarters to f—ing gun every single last one of you,” roared Griesemer.
Investigators tracked him down and slapped him with a bevy of charges. He’s currently out on bail.
“We take any threats to CNN employees or workplaces, around the world, extremely seriously. This one is no exception. We have been in touch with local and federal law enforcement throughout, and have taken all necessary measures to ensure the safety of our people,” CNN wrote in a statement.
Political lefties are already blaming President Trump. Griesemer mentioned fake news during one of his rants.
“As the rhetoric towards the press emanating from the highest levels of government has grown more hostile, CPJ has received calls from journalists in the U.S. who say that they have received death threats,” the Committee to Protect Journalists said in a statement.
The group insinuated that Griesemer threatened CNN because Trump accused the network of peddling fake news.
Last week, Sen. Jeff Flake went even further. “Not only has the past year seen an American president borrow despotic language to refer to the free press, but it seems he has in turn inspired dictators and authoritarians with his own language.”
It’s unfortunate that CNN employees were threatened. It’s even more unfortunate that CNN employees and viewers are so out of touch that they’re blaming Trump for a lone maniac’s actions.
