Take a moment and watch the hilarity that unfolds as an over-eager contestant on the “Price is Right” dive-bombs a startled Drew Carey:

Happy-go-lucky Sona was called onstage after she correctly intuited the cost of a treadmill. She bounded towards Carey and flung herself her at him, wrapping her arms around his body and knocking him off balance.

The 59-year-old host nearly careened head-first off the stage. Luckily, his fall was broken by pieces of stage equipment.

Sona’s joy is infectious. The Price is Right is a fun, airy show, a morning pick-me-up that consistently delivers. Carey, always the professional, laughed off the incident and played on Sona’s energy.

“Oh my god,” she cried as Carey struggled to right himself.

“Hey everybody!” Carey smiled. “’I’m fine, I’m fine,”

“Sona, do not break the host or our set!” the show’s announcer quipped before telling her that she was playing for a new car.

Sona didn’t end up winning the car, but she did go home with $3,000 and a funny story to share at cocktail parties.

Wednesday’s accident wasn’t the first time that Carey was knocked over by a too energetic contestant. “One previous, overly-excited guest lifted Carey up off of his feet, spun him around in circles, and tried to set him back down gently — which is when the contestant accidentally dropped the host onto the floor,” writes Mediaite.
