Here’s a rich one for you today. Ultra liberal Democratic congressman Alan Grayson from Florida has just called the intelligence in the Obama administration, “Stupid.”
In a statement he made at a fundraising event in California (UPDATE: Video has been taken down), Grayson mentions the conflict in Syria, which officially rested on one intercepted phone call to Obama’s military intelligence cabinet.
“I’m a congressman. I have the highest level clearance you could possibly have. I want to hear the phone call,”
“No, we can’t let you do that,” Grayson said he was told by officials who went on to say that sharing the call “would disclose our methods.”
“I know what your methods are. You spy on everybody!” Grayson said on the video, as the crowd laughed. “This is what you do: you read our emails, OK! You listen to our phone calls! You look at the websites we go to! I know what your methods are. I want to listen to the phone call.”
Still, he said, he was denied access.
“It didn’t matter how many times I asked, it didn’t matter who I went to see. I want to see our leadership, the other side’s leadership I went to the administration,” he said. But he got nowhere.
“You know why, right? Isn’t it obvious?” he asked the crowd on the video. “Because they were faking it. They were faking it.”
While the Congressman may not be wrong, he’s not exactly a first-timer with things that ruffle many political feathers.
IJReview writes,
Grayson isn’t a stranger to outlandish statements. He’s likened conservatives to members of the Ku Klux Klan and once even referred to his own wife as a ‘gold digger.’
Amid a tense Senate primary in Florida with Rep. Patrick Murphy, Grayson is certainly not toning down his unabashed liberal persona.
Looking to fill the seat held by Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), Grayson believes he can win, saying his fellow Democrats ‘are willing to crawl over hot coals naked’ to vote for him.
Whatever is going on, it can’t be good. We need someone who will set this country straight again!
