Oops! Non-Profits Mad About Trump’s Budget Got Caught With $179 Million In Wasted Taxpayer Funds

I do love when someone says something inflammatory only to be caught doing the exact thing they are complaining about. And I’ll give you all three guesses as to who I am speaking about. The first two guesses don’t count.

If you said the Democrats, you’re right! You win a prize. That prize is seeing how ridiculous this one is. A grand total of six nonprofit groups (and I’m sure there are plenty more), publicly voiced their displeasure for Trump’s proposed budget cuts. But wait, aren’t these the same nonprofits that took handouts for YEARS under the Obama administration? And aren’t these the same nonprofits that lean left and are total hypocrites about this after taking $179 million in taxpayers dollars from the EPA?

Yup. You guessed it. The Democrats are liars yet again.

Six nonprofit groups that criticized President Donald Trump’s proposed budget cuts failed to mention the nearly $179 million in Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) grants they’ve received since 2009, according to a Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group (TheDCNF) analysis of federal spending data.

The agency has funded thousands of such groups since former President Barack Obama’s 2009 inauguration, but TheDCNF focused only on six of the largest nonprofit recipients in its analysis of grant data compiled by the watchdog Open The Books.

Those nonprofits also received additional funding from other federal agencies across the government. It’s possible some or all of these groups will see their federal funding slashed or eliminated all together if Trump’s budget proposal is approved.

And here comes the bitchin’.

Not surprisingly, Trump’s proposed budget cuts “would be absolutely devastating,” Senior Service America research manager Bob Harootyan told NBC News on March 16. The group has taken more than $533 million from federal agencies, including EPA, since 2009, mostly through a Department of Labor program Trump has proposed to eliminate.

“AAAS is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that has worked for 169 years to advance science and serve society. We don’t hesitate to speak on issues that may impede the advancement of science to benefit all people.”

By benefit all people, do you mean benefit your political agenda? Because that’s all I’m seeing from this leftist whine-fest. These budget cuts will help balance a budget that was ballooned to out-of-control proportions by an Obama administration that nearly doubled the national debt.

Full steam ahead with the Trump train on this one. The left has no legs left to stand on. Balance the damn budget!
