There’s been no shortage of outlandish claims concerning Donald Trump since he entered the political fray, as the media has created an image that makes it seem like anything is possible with him. The most famous thus far is the debunked Russia dossier, which accused Trump of a litany of crimes and deviant behaviors.
Thanks to the media narratives leading up to that point, and how it was reported, the perception was that Trump is capable of such things, so people bought into it. With folks willing to believe anything about Trump, it’s likely that the latest claim against him will be bought hook, line, and sinker.
As reported at the Daily Mail, during Tuesday’s edition of Megyn Kelly’s NBC show, she talked with porn star Alana Evans, who detailed a supposed sexual encounter between a married Donald Trump and another porn actress Stormy Daniels in 2006.
“Come hang out with us. Come have fun. Let’s party,” Trump told Evans, as he tried to convince her to hang out with him at his Lake Tahoe hotel room, along with the already present Daniels, Evans alleged.
Evans says she declined, deciding to turn off her cellphone and do her own thing instead. The next day, however, when she checked up Daniels, Evans said her friend started the recollection with an amusing teaser of the night’s events saying: “‘she says, “Well, picture this, Donald Trump chasing me around the bedroom in his tighty-whities.”‘
“I’m sorry, but the visual that I get has stuck with me for this entire time and I’m glad that you guys have to deal with it too,” the adult actress remarked to Kelly’s in-studio audience.
Evans’ interview comes in the aftermath of a Wall Street Journal story that claims Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen, paid Daniels $130,000 in hush money to keep quiet about the affair, which allegedly occurred as Trump was attending the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship at the Edgewood Tahoe in Stateline, Nevada.
Cohen has since come out and denied that a sexual encounter occurred. However, he didn’t deny the part about the hush money, which was supposedly given to Daniels a month before the 2016 election.
It was around that time that several women came forward alleging Trump sexually harassed them.
Evans told Kelly that she bumped into Daniels in Tahoe while she was there visiting a tattoo parlor with another friend. There, Daniels excitedly recounted her night with Trump “And when we were discussing it, she acted it out, she was very excited,” Evans recalled.
An interesting element to Evans’ tale is that it throws cold water on the sexual harassment claims made by another porn start that was in Tahoe during that time. Jessica Drake is one of the women that accused Trump of harassment, saying he forcibly kissed her in a hotel suite during the same golf tournament.
However, Daniels told Evans that Drake had “basically thrown herself at him to introduce herself to him because she was so excited he had come to the booth,” according to Evans.
“But Donald was nice and gracious and said hello, but as Stormy is acting it out she said that Donald said, “nice to meet you, but I want to meet her,” pointed to Stormy, comes over because he knew who she was because of the movies she had been in and at that point they exchanged information,” Evans said.
Evans then claims Daniels went to Trump’s room, and that the president then called her to ask her to join as well. An offer that she declined. Evans also claims that she was “worried” about Daniels that night, saying that “This is a man I grew up watching on television on “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.”‘
It’s hard to know what’s true here, as the media’s done such a good job painting Trump as capable of anything, that it seems plausible. However, at the end of the day, unless there’s some hard evidence backing it up, it should be taken with a grain of salt.
