It’s hard to differentiate between fact and fiction these days, as the left-wing media’s told so many lies about Trump, that even when they’re telling the truth one can’t even begin to believe them. Not only that, accusing someone of a sexual crime is now an incredible weapon that folks can wield to take down political opponents and people they don’t like.
With the deluge of #MeToo stories and conveniently timed revelations coming out these days, it’s hard to know who to trust. Without evidence, men are having their lives destroyed, getting no benefit of the doubt or due process. While many may be guilty as sin, it’s still a very slippery slope we’re dealing with here, one that’s become dangerously close to a sexual harassment panic and witch hunt.
Throughout the various scandals, Trump hasn’t shied away from offering up his two cents, but neither has his daughter. Reportedly, what she said about Roy Moore earlier this month had Trump fuming and roaming the White House halls in disbelief.
As reported at the Daily Mail, President Trump was supposedly outraged by the recent actions taken by his daughter Ivanka. Several weeks ago, the president’s daughter trashed Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore over the various sexual harassment allegations against him.
“There’s a special place in hell for people who prey on children,” Ivanka said in reference to the accusation levied against Moore. She added, “I’ve yet to see a valid explanation and I have no reason to doubt the victims’ accounts.”
In response to the Ivanka’s comments, Trump was supposedly livid, incredulously asking several aides in the Oval Office, “Do you believe this?” according to the New York Times.
On Sunday, Trump doubled-down on his support for Moore, ignoring the allegations of sexual harassment haunting the politician’s embattled campaign. He also targeted Moore’s opponent, calling him weak on crime, the military, and immigration.
In an early-morning tweet, Trump said, “The last thing we need in Alabama and the U.S. Senate is a Schumer/Pelosi puppet who is WEAK on Crime, WEAK on the Border, Bad for our Military and our great Vets, Bad for our 2nd Amendment, AND WANTS TO RAISES TAXES TO THE SKY. Jones would be a disaster!“
Most members of the Republican Party have withdrawn support for Moore, and more than a few have suggested that should Moore win the election, they’ll vote to kick him out of the Senate immediately.
Mitch McConnell, the Senate Republican leader and the bane of all conservatives, has repeatedly called for Moore to drop out, saying: “I believe the women.” Mitch has reportedly been trying to convince the president to at least stay quiet about the Alabama race, but it appears his pleas have fallen on deaf ears.
Trump has been hesitant to automatically believe the conveniently timed allegations against Moore. “Forty years is a long time,” the president told reporters Tuesday on the White House lawn. “He says it didn’t happen. You have to listen to him, also.”
The Alabama special election is just weeks away and despite the left-wing media’s 24/7 negative news coverage of Moore, the race is still neck and neck. It’s a highly important seat that was all but certain to stay in Republican’s hands, that is, until these accusations surfaced. We’ll just have to wait and see how the people of Alabama feel about the whole ordeal when they enter the ballot box on December 12.
