If you haven’t heard, George H. W. Bush – the elder Bush – made many waves and even more headlines the other day saying that he would vote for Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump. He specifically did not tell the media that, but is all started when a staffer for the Points of Light Foundation said that Bush told her his voting preference in confidence.
In all honesty, this news absolutely flabbergasted the conservative and Trump supporting community when it leaked, especially considering two factors: 1) Bill Clinton knocked incumbent Bush out of office in ’92 and 2) Hillary is an unrepentant liar who keeps the American public in the dark on everything she does. Pardon us for being shocked.
But what was the Trump campaign’s response?
Former President George H.W. Bush said Monday that he will vote for Hillary Clinton in November, according to sources close to the 41st President — an extraordinary rebuke of his own party’s nominee.
The sources said this was not the first time Bush had disclosed his intention to vote for Clinton.
Trump’s campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, told CNN’s Erin Burnett Tuesday that she respects “the 92-year-old former president very much and his decision.”
“It is ironic that he would vote for the wife of the man who knocked him out of the race,” she added on “Erin Burnett OutFront.” “But look, this was a bruising primary … so I know there are a lot of hurt feelings there.”

Could this be Bush doing it out of spite for what Trump said in the primaries about his sons?
We may never know, but if that is the case, it’s potentially the single largest wasted vote in the history of democracy. When you vote, don’t vote out of spite – vote with your consience. Otherwise, it makes the system completely useless.
George, as much as I respect you, you know better than this.
