When Donald Trump means business, he will stop at nothing to make his point – but today is the day when he drew his line in the sand, and with big shot Jeb Bush, no less with this epic back and forth between these hugely influential political figures.
In an interview with Trump on Bloomberg, reporter Stephanie Ruhle mentioned how “George W. Bush had to stand in front of America on 9/11”, to which Trump said:
When you talk about George Bush, and say what you want, the World Trade Center came down during his time.
…He was president. Blame him, or don’t blame him, but he was president. The World Trade Center came down during his reign.
That’s when things took a turn for the worse. Jeb Bush got wind and took to Twitter to vent his frustrations:
How pathetic for @realdonaldtrump to criticize the president for 9/11. We were attacked & my brother kept us safe.

Trump came back and delivered the 1-2 and knockout punches!
.@JebBush,
At the debate you said your brother kept us safe- I wanted to be nice & did not mention the WTC came down during his watch, 9/11.— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 17, 2015
No @JebBush, you’re pathetic for saying nothing happened during your brother’s term when the World Trade Center was attacked and came down.

.@JebBush, like it or not, our country needs more energy and spirit than you can provide! #MakeAmericaGreatAgain

This is exactly how we need to speak to people that are trying to rewrite history. What an amazing leader! He’s got my vote!
