When Muslims Demanded Sharia Law, This State Said “HELL NO! This Is AMERICA!”

Another victory against the evil that is sharia law, in the U.S.

South Carolina has become the most recent state to ban sharia law from it’s courts. Reports are saying that this morning that the South Carolina house passed the law banning sharia from even being implemented, recornized, or approved anywhere in the state. YES!

This is huge news and comes hot on the heels of Texas doing exactly the same thing last year.

he South Carolina House passed a bill this Thursday to ban Shariah law and prevent it from ever being recognized or approved in the state.

“The General Assembly finds that it shall be the public policy of this State to protect its citizens from the application of foreign laws … when the application of a foreign law will result in the violation of a right guaranteed by the Constitution of this State or of the United States,” the South Carolina Legislature bill, H 3521, read.

The bill’s sponsor, state Rep. Chip Limehouse, touted the need to prevent Shariah law from “being used as a defense in American courtrooms” as being the reason why he brought the bill up in the first place.

Awesome! Way to go SC!

“In South Carolina, we’ve had cases where people have tried to use (the rules of) Shariah law as a defense, and we are speaking very clearly from the South Carolina House,” he explained to Breitbart after the bill’s passage. “Shariah law cannot and will not be used as a legal defense in the state of South Carolina.”

For the bill to become actual law, however, it must pass through the Senate and then be signed by Gov. Nikki Haley. The fact that it passed at the beginning of Thursday’s legislative session bodes well; the fact 42 out of the 110 members present voted against it does not.

Why 42 South Carolina House members voted against the bill remained unclear, especially given the many reasons that exist for why Shariah law should be banned. Shariah law allows for such things as honor killings, arranged child marriages and domestic abuse, among others.

I believe that this bill will pass. Those 42 should really brush up on their sharia law. Not only does it allow for honor killings and all the others mentioned, but rape is not a punishable offense. Backward laws do not have a place in our society. Ban it everywhere.
