The battle for sanctuary cities is in full effect. So far, it seems like Trump and his supporters are winning, and that is a tremendously good thing.
Trump announced plans for the wall to be built yesterday and it’s sent the left into a frenzy of snowflake meltdowns. “Racist!” they’re all saying. I don’t think they know what the word means, really.
Regardless, no matter what the left says, those that support Trump’s plan for America are taking action. Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, announced defunding of sanctuary cities in Texas if they support the sanctuary city model. Miami’s mayor, Carlos Gimenez, just showed his support and proved Trump was right about immigration.
Miami is officially not a sanctuary city anymore!
The mayor of Miami-Dade County has ordered his local jails to comply with President Donald Trump’s executive order on immigration enforcement, in order to avoid punishments for so-called “sanctuary cities.”
On Wednesday, Trump signed an executive order pulling all federal funding from sanctuary cities that refuse to turn undocumented criminals over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement and other federal officials.
Mayor Carlos Gimenez on Thursday ordered county jails to obey federal detention requests, which effectively ends the county’s position as a “sanctuary” for illegal immigrants.
President Trump praised this action.

This is what every city needs to do. It’s called illegal immigration for a reason.
