In case you were blissfully unaware of what comedian Kathy Griffin has been up to, let me get you up to date.
(Spoiler alert: she’s not a fan of President Trump’s)
Via The Blaze:
Comedian Kathy Griffin lifted a bloodied and detached replica of President Donald Trump’s head for a recent photoshoot — a move she jokingly said could land her in hot water.
Griffin said in a video clip released by TMZ that she worked with photographer Tyler Shields on the shoot but offered few details.
“This is fake blood, just so you know,” Griffin said at the start of the one-minute clip.
“I won’t give away what we’re doing, but Tyler and I are not afraid to do images that make noise,” Griffin added.
The video then cut to Griffin holding up a gory replica of Trump’s head, dripping with blood and detached from a body.
Apparently, the internet, in general, didn’t love what she was doing with her free time (or maybe this is her work?) because the retribution was swift and unforgiving.

Obviously what was meant as a joke/thinly veiled threat didn’t turn out how Griffin had planned. There is a distinct possibility that the alt-left seethes and simmers in their own hatred so much that they forget that the rest of the country isn’t as extreme as they are.
Here is her somewhat less than heartfelt apology:

My mother always told me that there’s a difference between being sorry that you did something bad and being sorry that you got caught doing something bad. I understand that comedy is ever changing and that humor is in the ear of the listener, but it sure seems like we should draw the line somewhere before decapitation. Especially the decapitation of the President of the United States.
