Jimmy Kimmel finally did an interview Americans can feel good about. He had to take a break from bashing the president for a segment when he spoke with Roseanne Barr, one of the few Trump supporters in Hollywood.
Kimmel tried to call the comedian out for attacking Hillary Clinton on Twitter. In 2016 she wrote a post calling Clinton a murderer.
“Roseanne you know I’m gonna find that tweet in the next 40 seconds right?” Kimmel said.
“I deleted it, so f*** you!” Barr fired back, giving Kimmel the middle finger.
The conversation turned to the Clintons because Barr was on the show to promote her new series, a reboot of the beloved sitcom Roseanne. The title character is a proud Trump-supporter, a fact Kimmel finds odd.
“I just wanna say this, Jimmy,” Barr said. “A lot of, ya know, no matter who we voted for, we don’t want to see our president fail… Do you want Pence for the fricken president?”
Kimmel immediately said no.
“Well then snap that f***ing lip!’ she said.
Tinseltown loves to complain about President Trump. Kimmel, in particular, has made attacking Trump part of his nightly schtick. That’s why Barr’s appearance on his show was so refreshing.
She had advice for liberals who won’t accept the president.
“Just chill. Try to think positive for why people wanted a change,” she said. “It’s up to us to make this government work, no matter who’s president. It’s up to us to do our job as citizens and if we don’t like something, let them know you don’t like it.”
Barr’s reasonable approach probably won’t be adopted by a lot of liberals. Look at MSNBC and its soaring ratings; manufactured outrage sells. The left has developed a taste for fake news.
Insulting President Trump drives ratings.
