Megyn Kelly Furious Katie Couric Got Olympic Gig Instead Of Her – New Report
The drama at NBC has spilled out in the open, as various network personalities are upset over who did and didn’t receive recent high profile appointments. Last week, reports were all over the place that Megyn Kelly had drawn the ire of her colleagues due to her appointment to the State of the Union coverage.
The leftists at the network claimed she shouldn’t be on the panel since she said she’s done with politics, but the reality is they just don’t want a conservative their to call out their anti-Trump propaganda. While last week saw Kelly in the firing line, this week Kelly is angry over NBC’s decision to hand Olympic hosting duties to Katie Couric and not her.
As reported by Page Six, reports are leaking out that when she discovered she wouldn’t be anchoring NBC’s Winter Olympic’s opening ceremony coverage, Kelly “threw an Olympic fit.”

After signing a $23 million a year deal last spring, it seems Kelly thought she’d be given the option of special events, even though she supposedly included in her deal a guarantee that she wouldn’t be forced to if she didn’t want to.
With long-time anchor Matt Lauer getting canned for sexual harassment allegations, it appears Kelly expected for the network to come calling to her for an Olympic slot.
But sources say that the execs instead gave the gig to Couric, who co-hosted the “Today” show with Lauer from 1997 to 2006, at which point she left the network, a decision that Kelly thought would go her way on principle.
“[Kelly] complained to her staff, she complained to her agent, so that [NBC News chairman Andrew Lack] would hear about the fact that she was unhappy, but he didn’t care.”
This source added that Lack — who originally signed Kelly to the network amid much fanfare in January 2017, starting with “Sunday Night With Megyn Kelly” in June — has finally realized she is “a diva” and that “she’s not going to be part of the NBC News . . . inner circle.”
While all of this sounds embarrassing, that may be the point entirely. Lots of anonymous trash talk has emerged over the year about Kelly, much of it un-sourced, which may very well be petty attempts by leftist to sabotage her.
An NBC New insider has come out and said there’s “zero truth” to the claim Kelly’s upset about the Olympics, adding that it’s “laughable since [the opening ceremony is] the least desirable gig in broadcasting, given the inevitable brutal reviews.”
The insider also said that Lack thinks Kelly is a “diva,” insisting that “no one at NBC has ever heard him ever use the word ‘diva’ about anyone.”
It seems that there are saboteurs working against Kelly not only at NBC, but throughout the media. Sure, she’s had her share of gaffes and embarrassing moments, but hers are nothing compared to the Soviet tier propaganda and blatant lies spewed by prominent left-wing “journalists” and media personalities on a daily basis.
