We know that you might be busy with your holiday plans and could have turned your attention away from politics and social media for a few days. And while we fully support that decision, we thought you might be able to use a laugh.
There’s been a bit of a throwdown going on between the Trumps and the media (big surprise, I know). But this one involves an actual throw down.
President Trump tweeted this (not at all inflammatory) video clip of him putting the hurt on an unsuspecting WWE participant back in 2007. But instead of their face, well you’ll see.

Pretty funny stuff, but you can see how it might be somewhat irritating to those who make up the fake news circles. They tried to criticize the move by saying that he was attempting to incite violence against the free press etc etc.
CNN issued a statement following Trump’s tweet with a typical amount of newsworthy content.
They said:
it is a sad day when the president of the United States encourages violence against reporters. Clearly, Sarah Huckabee Sanders lied when she said the president had never done so. Instead of preparing for his overseas trip, his first meeting with Vladimir Putin, dealing with North Korea and working on his health care bill, he is instead involved in juvenile behavior far below the dignity of his office. We will keep doing our jobs. He should start doing his.
One less than productive response came from CNN’s own Jim Acosta. The accused network’s anchor tried to take a shot at the President for having been involved in the event at all.
Isn't pro wrestling fake?

Such a blistering retort, I’m not sure how we’ll recover from that fence-straddling response with absolutely no original thought.
Apparently, it only took Trump 2.0 a matter of minutes to see the tweet and point our the irony.
Yes, just like your coverage. https://t.co/ZLmiTVpDce

He was not alone in this thought though. In a matter of seconds, Twitter was full of CNN’s critics who couldn’t wait to share in the hilarity.
Yes , just like CNN…

I’d say they’re now intimately acquainted.
Ahh, nothing like the smell of irony on a Sunday morning.

Now that is the best part of waking up.
This segment of entertainment is brought to you in part by the liberal brainwashing of the left and the free thinking of readers, just like you. Thanks, and don’t forget to tip your waitress.
