There’s this rule of polite society that tells us “even if you don’t respect the man, respect the office.” That’s why, no matter how bad it hurt, while he was in office, I had to grit my teeth and refer to our former communist in chief as “President Obama.” Because he held an office set up by and held by some of the greatest men in American history, and because he was fairly elected. For many of us, it caused physical pain, but we did it, because degrading him, degrades us all.
This is a concept that is completely lost on many liberals, especially those in late night TV. CBS’s John Dickerson with Face the Nation received the coveted job of interviewing the President as a review of his first 100 days in office, and the President definitely got in a few jabs. But considering what has been widely publicized about the President’s feelings about the media, this shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone.
The Late Show’s Stephen Colbert decided it would be OK to lash out at the President because of a clap back that he laid on Dickerson during their interview. See for yourself what kind of smut the left is considering good TV these days.

If the goal was to prove him right, then I think it’s mission accomplished. And can I just say that if President Trump was truly a dictator, this story would be about Colbert’s head rotting on a stick somewhere.
I’m a journalist, so it’s not my job to make bad attempts at raps, but just in case you didn’t think anyone would mind what you said about the President, please know that you are what is wrong with America. An emotionally driven, insult slinging, groundlessly offended liberal with no respect for anything greater than yourself, which, for the record, is just about everything.
If there was any doubt before, this little stunt officially relegates you in the annals of history as a cheap liberal flunky who’s primary achievement will be that of a socialist puppet who degrades your own cause with your lack of basic manners and respect. Your constant doubling down of this child-like rhetoric will all but ensure that Trump sees a second inauguration.
And you can take that any way you want.
