Attorney General Jeff Sessions and President Trump recently beefed up the security along the border, to the dismay of illegal immigrant-loving liberals.
The administration’s plan worked.
In the past month, Border Patrol has apprehended an additional 1,600 illegals. The National Guard troops supervising the missions provided critical help. Border agents had more time to actually go out and nab criminals because they don’t have to worry about logistics.
Americans can breathe easier knowing that the southern border is finally being protected.
“Those folks are giving us the additional situational awareness in the radio rooms … which are allowing the Border Patrol agents sitting in those areas to go into the field,” said one National Guard official.
The chaos that reigned along the border while Barack Obama was in office is finally coming to an end. The Trump administration announced this week that adults and children who cross the border will be separated.
“If you are smuggling a child then we will prosecute you, and that child will be separated from you as required by law,” Sessions said. “If you don’t like that, then don’t smuggle children over our border.”
It’s not a new rule that’s being implemented as a punishment, rather, the administration has decided to fully enforce old rules. The Obama administration allowed illegal immigrant families to stay together because he didn’t care if he created an incentive for illegals to enter the country.
“I want to be clear. DHS does not have a blanket policy on separating families as a deterrent,” said Thomas Homan, deputy director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
“There is no new policy. This has always been the policy. But you will see more prosecutions because of the commitment to zero tolerance” of illegal border entries.”
The glory days for illegals are over.
