President Trump’s war against the NFL rages on. During a Monday night game, the Dallas Cowboys stunned fans when the entire team, including owner Jerry Jones, took a knee. The outrage was immediate.
“The booing at the NFL football game last night, when the entire Dallas team dropped to its knees, was loudest I have ever heard,” Trump gloated. “Great anger… But while Dallas dropped to its knees as a team, they all stood up for our National Anthem. Big progress being made-we all love our country!”
Trump never backs down.
“It’s really caught on. It’s really caught on,” Trump said. “I said what millions of Americans were thinking.”
The NFL has all sorts of rules and regulations. The only way out for them is to set a rule that you can't kneel during our National Anthem!

Respecting the flag is something the president really cares about, so he’s not going to let the issue drop. Fans are divided. Dwindling ratings indicate that the players’ protest is harming the league, although no one will know for sure until the season is over.
The White House supports Trump entirely.
“I believe every American, when the national anthem is played, should cover their hearts and think about all the men and women who have been maimed and killed… Every American should stand up and think for three lousy minutes,” Chief of Staff Gen. John Kelly said.
Is the fight worth the president’s attention? For a lot of conservatives, the answer is yes. Millions of people have died for our flag. Respecting the national anthem is akin to respecting their sacrifice.
“Look, this isn’t about the President being against anyone,” Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders insisted.
“This is about the President and millions of Americans being for something; being for honoring our flag, honoring our national anthem, and honoring the men and women who fought to defend it.”
