There used to be a phrase when someone worked close to a President, they would say “I serve at the pleasure of the President.” Somewhere along the way, we lost that intention, and it became all about serving ourselves and using the President or anyone else we can to do it.
Our new Commander in Chief has been battling not only those on the outside but people on the inside of the White House since the day he took office. Information leaks have become common place and just the general backstabbing has gotten completely out of hand.
Sean Hannity thinks he might have the cure for this problem: Clear out all the Obama administration’s holdovers.
The fact that anyone would stay to work at the White House who didn’t “approve of the President” displays not only a lack of respect for the President himself but a total disregard for the democratic process by which he was elected.
Whether or not you love the President, and whether or not you appreciate what he’s doing, wishing for him to fail is like wishing for the pilot of the plane you’re on stroke out in the cockpit. You might get to see someone you don’t like fail, but you’ll probably be badly injured in the process.
President Trump is in some ways unconventional when it comes to politics, but he’s also very old school in his dealings with people. Some things change, but human nature always stays the same, and that is one thing that our current leader is an expert at dealing with. His in-house advisories may be experiencing the carrot right now, but if I were them I’d be looking over my shoulder for when the stick comes out. Because make no mistake, if you do something to endanger America, President Trump will be breaking out the stick, and rightly so.
