The latest scandal to hit the Trump administration isn’t really much of one in reality. However, the headlines write themselves, and the leftist media is taking advantage of the fact that they can easily fool the public and create a false perception that Trump is somehow engaged in or closely associated with people of questionable character.
The investigation into the Trump campaign and its supposed collusion with Russia is being headed by former FBI head Robert Mueller. Much has been made about the fact that there’s an investigation to begin with, saying that where there’s so much smoke there has to be fire. And with the latest actions by Mueller, it’s only going to make it appear that way. But if one actually looks at the facts, this “bombshell” of a story is nothing more than a dud.
As reported at the New York Post, on Monday, Mueller officially levied criminal charges against 3 former Trump campaign aides, including Trump’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort. On the surface, this looks very bad, and will make drive-by news consumers think that all the left-wing claims about Trump and Russia are true. However, in light of the charges and and hit pieces against Trump that have been released since, the administration has quickly moved to distance the president from the potential criminals.
“Look, today’s announcement has nothing to do with the president and nothing to do with the president’s campaign or campaign activity,” administration spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders said during a press briefing, referring to a pair of indictments obtained by special counsel Robert Mueller.
Huckabee then turned attention to Hillary Clinton, seeing how it’s been proven that her campaign and the DNC paid for the infamous dossier against Trump to be fabricated, using supposed Russian “intelligence” to do so.
“The real collusion scandal has everything to do with the Clinton campaign and Fusion GPS and Russia. There is clear evidence of them colluding to spread disinformation and smear the president. We have been saying from day one there is no evidence of Trump-Russia collusion and nothing today changes that.“
As mentioned before, the headlines write themselves, but if one actually looks at the charges against Manafort, they stem from his actions before joining the Trump campaign and actions that have nothing to do with “Russia collusion,” but that won’t stop the Left from using this as propaganda. As for the others, they simply lied to investigators after having only solicited information from Russian sources claiming to have dirt on Clinton, which is par for the course when it comes to campaign research.
The lesson to take away from this, and practically every other scandal that’s occurred during the Trump presidency, is that you can’t trust the media to present information to you in an honest manner. If you want to know the truth, you’ll have to do a little digging yourself. But the fact that most people don’t bother to is why the media is so good at manipulating the masses and spreading propaganda. It’s our job to do our own due diligence to prevent being pawns in their left-wing game.
