2017 will be remembered as the year Americans threw away PC concerns and started doing what they wanted. President Trump’s refusal to conform to society’s notions about it what means to be “presidential” inspired a legion of his supporters.
A Florida police officer threw conventions to the wind Wednesday and taunted a guilty man in court. Kevin Rojas, 21, tried to murder the officer two years ago during a traffic stop. Rojas blasted the man with a gun, shooting him three times.
The officer, who was undercover, was driving his son to school when the incident occurred. The young man sat in the backseat of the car while his father was pummeled with gunshots.
“I will take those bullets instead of a fellow officer and an innocent bystander,” the officer growled in court. “When I brought the fight back to you, you ran like a coward.”
Before anyone could react, the cop whipped out a tube of K-Y jelly. “You are going to need a lot of this,” he said.
The moment played out like a scene crafted by Steven Spielberg. Rojas’ dramatic trial tugged on many people’s emotions.
The cop’s taunt was rude, but can you blame him? Rojas not only tried to murder him, he endangered his child. He fired a bullet directly into his face. A crude allusion to prison rape is pinprick compared to what Rojas did to him.
“In October, Rojas was found guilty of numerous felonies, including attempted first-degree murder, grand theft auto, attempted manslaughter, two counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer,” Fox News reports.
