In the wake of the Las Vegas massacre, everyone’s now focused on the killer’s motive. While nothing concrete has been discovered, there’s a lot of speculation about what drove Stephen Paddock to murder 59 people.
Immediately after the rampage, ISIS took to the web to claim responsibility and revel in the bloodshed. While authorities quickly dismissed their claims and Paddock’s ties to them, the group continues to insist that he was one of their Islamic soldiers.
As reported at the Daily Mail, ISIS is still claiming that Paddock was part of their organization, which the FBI continues to deny. After praising his actions on Monday, the group has now given him an Islamic name in honor of his “achievement.”
“Abu Abdul Bar al-Amriki,” meaning “The American,” is the name they have given him, as they calling him a “soldier of the caliphate.”
“The Las Vegas attack was carried out by a soldier of the Islamic State and he carried it out in response to calls to target states of the coalition. The Las Vegas attacker converted to Islam a few months ago,” ISIS news channels claimed.
Details of Paddock’s life have begun to emerge since the attack, but religious zealotry and ties to Islam are notably absent. What isn’t, however, is his gambling addiction and an alleged multi-million dollar fortune made from real estate.
Yet a concrete motive has yet to be announced, which is rather suspicious. It’s a fact that the longer his motives go unannounced, the less likely he was a “right-winger,” because if there was the slightest indication he was, the media would screaming about it from every rooftop. Since the Left loves it when a killer leans to the right end of the political spectrum.
However, whenever a perpetrator is a Muslim, leftist, or minority, the media will keep silent about the motives because it wouldn’t be beneficial to their cause. Regardless of why he carried out the attack, it should be honestly reported so we can find some kind of understanding and closure to the heinous and tragic crime.
