Well, that didn’t take long. Liberals are starting to admit that President Trump knows what he’s doing. Earl Ofari Hutchinson, a prominent MSNBC pundit, and Huffington Post contributor took a break from deriding the White House this week to begrudgingly admit that the presidency has been a success.
Trump is winning. He’s the first president in American history to achieve most of his campaign promises.
Hutchinson lists: “Mick Mulvaney’s appointment to head the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Neil Gorsuch’s contribution to the Supreme Court, Scott Pruitt’s work at the EPA, Trump’s support of fossil fuels to make America energy independent, the RNC backing of Judge Roy Moore in Alabama, the fizzling out of Russiagate, the passage of the tax reform bill, and the record-level stock market” as signs of Trump’s expert leadership.
Of course, Hutchinson believes that those events should count as slurs against Trump’s reputation rather than triumphs. He and is ilk will be even angrier when the border wall is built.
Democrats can’t stop progress. They’ve been doing their best to block the president’s agenda, but their efforts will ultimately prove futile. Voters stuffed Washington with conservatives during the last election cycle, giving them complete control of Congress.
“He remains a ratings cash cow for the networks and makes stunning copy for the print media,” Hutchinson whines in his article.
“He knew that from day one of his presidential bid and he knows it even more now. He will continue to suck the media air out of everything that the Democrats do and try to do.”
Trump’s war with the media strengthened his campaign rather than weakened it.
