The bombers are being prepared.
For the first time in almost three decades, the U.S. Air Force is putting its nuclear bombers on 24-hour alert. Tensions with North Korea are running so high that’s a real risk of war breaking out.
“This is yet one more step in ensuring that we’re prepared,” General Goldfein explained.
“I look at it more as not planning for any specific event, but more for the reality of the global situation we find ourselves in and how we ensure we’re prepared going forward.”
President Trump’s escalating war of words with dictator Kim Jong Un could have serious consequences. The military needs to be prepared.
“Our job is options. We provide the best military advice and options for the commander in chief and the secretary of defense,” the General said.
When news that the nuclear bombers were being put on alert spread to Pyongyang, they were incensed.
“Dignitaries of White House, and State and Defense Departments of the US are having a hard time cooling Trump overheated with a war fever, but only the south Korean puppet forces are fanning up the lunatic fingering a nuclear button,” Kim raged.
It’s impossible to determine how much is bluster, and how much is a serious threat. Kim’s known for his flaming language.
“Lunatic Trump is running headlong into ruin, taking America with him, and the poor puppet forces are following him, at the peril of their lives…The darkness drooping low over America is sunset, not dawn, and no force can stop America from rushing headlong into downhill after over-living its era.”
Kim should be careful. If actual war breaks out, he and his regime will be destroyed.
Trump EO authorizing recall of 1000 retired pilots. USAF putting nuclear bombers on 24-hour alert. Something's brewing & it makes me queasy
