It’s been a slow news week. So perhaps we should be willing to forgive the liberal media outlets who manufactured a blatant piece of anti-Trump propaganda. After all, discrediting the garbage stories spread by fake news networks is kind of fun.
Trump is currently in Europe. A routine meeting with the Polish president and his wife was twisted into something darkly significant by the left.
TIME ran a story that began: “President Trump drew international headlines for declining to shake the hand of German Chancellor Angela Merkel when she visited the White House earlier this year. Now it seems the tables have turned. Poland’s First Lady, Agata Kornhauser-Duda, appears to have at first passed by Trump’s offer of a handshake during his visit to Warsaw…”
Oh, the scandal! Trump publicly snubbed by Poland’s First Lady! The only problem with the story is that it’s completely fabricated.
Trump stretched his hand toward Agata Kornhauser-Duda, but she doesn’t immediately notice. By the time Trump extends his hand she’s already striding toward Melania. After the two first ladies shake hands, Kornhauser-Duda then turns her attention to Trump.
The Hill notes that: “Video of the event that didn’t show Trump’s eventual handshake with the Polish first lady went viral on Twitter and was posted by several journalists.”
Liberal “journalists” were so desperate for a good story that they were willing to publish any somewhat plausible anti-Trump complaint. Fact-checking is apparently a thing of the past. National news organizations treated an edited viral video like it was actually a piece of news.
Contrary to some surprising reports my wife did shake hands with Mrs. and Mr. Trump @POTUS after a great visit. Let's FIGHT FAKE NEWS.

The left is running out of the things to complain about. The “not my president” shtick is getting old. Trump and Melania received an incredibly warm welcome in Poland. The truth, however, is a lot less interesting than lies.
Fake news edited a video that implied Pres. Trump was denied handshake in Poland. Polish First Lady did shake Trump's hand, see full video! pic.twitter.com/ltCzfOoa8o
