California Bill Will Put You In Jail If You Don’t Use The Right Transgender Pronouns. No, We Aren’t Joking.

Californians have been itching to secede. Maybe we should let them. The state’s absurd liberalism has gone so far that LGBTQ individuals have more rights than heterosexual ones.

To be assured of that point, you only need to be apprised of what state legislators are currently contemplating. Bill SB 219, proposed by State Sen. Scott Wiener, imposes criminal repercussions on people who don’t call transgender men and women by their preferred pronoun.

Wiener’s bill forces public institutions to honor patients’ gender identity. A man who desires to be placed in a female ward need only claim that he’s now a woman and staff will have no choice but to give in to his demand.

“How can you believe in free speech, but think the government can compel people to use certain pronouns when talking to others?” California Family Council’s Greg Burt questioned. “Compelled speech is not free speech. Can the government compel a newspaper to use certain pronouns that aren’t even in the dictionary? Of course not, or is that coming next?”

Good news if you consider yourself to be “non-binary.” Move to California and public workers will be legally required to refer to you as whatever made-up pronoun you want. Don’t like he or she? Become X.

“Those proposing this bill are saying, ‘If you disagree with me about my view of gender, you are discriminating against me,'” Burt continued. “This is not tolerance. This is not love. This is not mutual respect. True tolerance tolerates people with different views. We need to treat each other with respect, but respect is a two-way street. It is not respectful to threaten people with punishment for having sincerely held beliefs that differ from your own.”

Liberal transgender mania is raging out of control.
