Living in America is supposed to be the dream; life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Casey Chadwick of Connecticut has had none of those things since 2015 when she was stabbed to death by an illegal immigrant.
Connecticut’s Democratic Governer, Dannel Malloy, is now actually urging state officials to ignore the federal immigration laws and ICE requests.
This is the reality of our country, where illegals are allowed to roam free with the full support of local municipalities, but one organization is working day and night to put that to an end. This group is called The Remembrance Project.
These are the families and friends of those whose lives were cut short by violent crimes committed by illegal aliens.
Our country’s judicial system is arguably the best in the world. The structure of checks and balances is put in place to ensure that every person, both accused and accuser have as fair a chance as human nature allows.
It’s sad that it takes an emotional plea to convince the general population that laws need to be followed, but if that’s what it takes, then so be it. Let’s talk about the girl who was stabbed dozens of times and shoved into a closet. Let’s talk about how long she stayed there till she was found, and the devastation felt by her loved ones when they finally found her.
Having a violent crime committed against you, being injured in an attack or even having a loved one taken from you is a horrible thing to have to endure. But to not even be able to pursue justice because the perpetrator is of the imported variety, is a special kind of anguish to have to endure.
There are many other countries where the cartels or other organized crime organizations are able to grease the palms of government officials in order to commit unspeakable atrocities and never be punished. Thankfully, this country is not yet turning a blind eye to such corruption.
We owe it to Casey Chadwick and the hundreds like her to not let her horror be in vain. It’s time to let local law enforcement adopt one of the Navy’s slogans; life liberty and the pursuit of all those who threaten it.
