Hillary Clinton’s deceitfulness tarnished the last administration. Instead of being punished for her numerous crimes, she used her political clout as a shield.
However, that’s all over, thankfully, because a federal judge just ordered the State Department to reopen its investigation into the Benghazi emails. Lest we forget, four American soldiers died and Clinton might have been directly responsible. Personally, I think that it’s heinous that the investigation was originally abandoned, but better late than never.
“To date, State has searched only data compilations originating from outside sources — Secretary Clinton, her former aides, and the FBI. … It has not, however, searched the one records system over which it has always had control and that is almost certain to contain some responsive records: the state.gov e-mail server,” the judge wrote.
“If Secretary Clinton sent an e-mail about Benghazi to Abedin, Mills, or Sullivan at his or her state.gov e-mail address, or if one of them sent an e-mail to Secretary Clinton using his or her state.gov account, then State’s server presumably would have captured and stored such an e-mail. Therefore, State has an obligation to search its own server for responsive records.”
The Benghazi tragedy occurred five years ago, much too long for the story to remain in the public consciousness. The excitement and drama of the Trump presidency obscured Clinton’s crimes. Trump himself has yet to find time to expose Clinton.
“This major court ruling may finally result in more answers about the Benghazi scandal – and Hillary Clinton’s involvement in it – as we approach the attack’s fifth anniversary,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a statement. “Why are Secretary Tillerson and Attorney General Sessions wasting taxpayer dollars protecting Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration?”
Americans deserve to know what happened in Benghazi. If the former Secretary of State risked the lives of our soldiers she deserves to be in jail.
