If you missed it recently, Starbucks reacted to President Donald Trump’s travel ban. The Seattle based company said they would hire 10,000 refugees to work in their stores. They must have felt so good about themselves. Here’s why that’s total bulls**t.
While we invite what seems to be the entire world into our country’s borders (thanks liberal idiots), we have veterans starving on the street, coming back from war zones with no jobs, and veterans that need to help get back to civilian life. Enter Black Rifle Coffee Company. Their mantra since day one has been to hire veterans first and their response to Starbucks is exactly what this country needs.
Starbucks’ lame attempt at good PR has just been negated by these TRUE Americans! YES!
In response to Starbucks announcing it would hire 10,000 refugees to protest President Donald Trump’s executive order on immigration, one veteran has a different plan.
Evan Hafer, an Army Special Forces veteran and CEO of Black Rifle Coffee Company, said he would hire 10,000 veterans.
According to January 2017 data from the Department of Labor, there is a 6.3 percent post 9/11 veteran unemployment rate in the country.
Hafer said he would be mostly hiring from this group but would extend to Gulf War veterans as well if need be.
Black Rifle Coffee Company was founded two years ago and has a more than 50 percent hiring rate of veterans as employees.
“Hiring vets is not PR for me; it’s who we are,” Hafer said.
YES! Please, please, PLEASE share this everywhere. Our country needs to know that we love our veterans and the Black Rifle Coffee Company should be the #1 coffee company in the country. Boycott Starbucks, elevate BRCC. Let’s do this!
