Kellyann Conway made history last November when she became the first female campaign manager to lead a presidential campaign to victory. Since then, she has drawn nothing but hate and discrimination from left-leaning politicians and news people. I guess a conservative woman pioneering anything isn’t the way history is supposed to turn out.
This time, the criticism came after a Democratic Louisiana Rep. Cedric Richmond said at a Washington Press Club Foundation Dinner on Wednesday:
“I really just want to know what was going on there, because, you know, I won’t tell anybody. And you can just explain to me that circumstance, because she really looked kind of familiar in that position there. But, don’t answer, and I don’t want you to refer back to the 1990s,”
Richmond later clarified saying:
“some people have interpreted my joke to mean something that it didn’t I think it is important to clarify what I meant. . . I grew up saying that someone is looking or acting ‘familiar’ simply means that they are behaving too comfortably.”
Conway pointed out that Richmond has not apologized to her for the crude comment. “I notice he did not apologize, he tried to clarify,” Conway said of Richmond’s claim that the joke wasn’t meant to be sexual.
Here’s a clip of the comments:
It seems like Conway should be a hero to the left, especially those who consider themselves marginalized or underappreciated. Conway is a woman who shattered her very own glass ceiling. Her crime seems to be in conjunction with President Trump’s. She was the first woman to do something, and when she did it, she was employed by somebody that the left is trying to paint as a woman hater.
How dare she be a successful woman, and a conservative? How dare the conservatives not hate her for it. How dare the conservatives not all be as mean and hateful as the liberals are.
We, as conservatives, really need to get our lives together and start living up to the reputation that the left has set up for us. Otherwise, we might start making them look bad.
