Package armed.
What would YOU think if you saw that message?
Greedy package thieves got exactly what they deserved when they encountered a man willing to fight back.
Jairme Barrow created the blank box, a simple device that startles potential thieves. He was sick of being robbed at his home. He knew he had to defend himself; police officers aren’t exactly going to devote their attention to finding the culprit.
Here’s what he did:

Barrow’s contraption is made up of “12-gauge shotgun blanks, fishing line, bricks, a wooden box-like, a small box, aluminum carrying vessel for the blanks, a small plate, and a cardbox box…”
When the fishing line is moved, a round is fired. No one is injured, but the loud, sudden sound shocks them. Stealing a package from somebody’s porch is a crappy thing to do. In the era of home security cameras, it’s also idiotic.
According to the Daily Mail: “Barrow decided to launch The Blank Box, revising his old box method for something much simpler and sell-able. For roughly $50-$70, people can get their own safety boxes and replace with extra blanks for an additional $2.99.
He even sells t-shirts that say ‘don’t touch my box.”
If you’re interested, you can also make the box yourself. It’s refreshing to see a Millennial with so much initiative. Most of their generation prefers to whine to others to take care of their problems. Barrow handled matters himself.
Don’t steal packages. If you do, smile. You might be on camera.
