Stormy Daniels’ attorney Michael Avenatti was gleeful after President Trump curtly denied knowing anything about the hush money paid to Daniels
“[Trump] has actively thrown Michael Cohen under the bus, by making these statements on Air Force One,” Avenatti said. “But this is an undisciplined guy. He finally cracked. We knew he would crack eventually. We have been patient.”
Michael Cohen, President Trump’s personal lawyer, paid Daniels $130,000 in 2016 and had her sign a nondisclosure agreement. An agreement which she promptly disregarded. Avenatti believes that Trump’s statements prove the nondisclosure agreement was never binding.
“This is a gift from the heavens,” he said. “I could think of few things that would be better for our case than the statements that the president made on Air Force One.”
Daniels, Trump, and Cohen are entangled in a legal battle over the validity of the porn star’s hush money deal.
The heavily-publicized scandal isn’t harming Trump with his supporters. Some of them like him even more now. He’s handling himself well and the country is headed in the right direction. A stunning 80 percent of evangelical voters told the Pew Research Center that they supported the current administration.
President Trump can’t be beaten. At least, he can’t be beaten by Stormy Daniels. Her story doesn’t amount to too much. She had a very brief affair with Trump 12 years ago, long before anyone seriously thought that he might one day be president. If he cheated on Melania at that time, that’s their business. America isn’t in a relationship with him. People don’t have to like his past to believe that he’s doing a stupendous job as president.
Mainstream media outlets are providing Daniels and her team with near constant coverage. They don’t seem to realize that no one really cares. Don’t they have something better to talk about?
