It’s been a few years now since former Subway pitchman Jared Fogle was sent to prison on child pornography charges. The guy made a fortune by simply appearing in commercials and endorsing the relatively healthy sandwich food chain, but he threw it all away for his degenerate habit.
Since his crimes came to light, he’s lost everything, including his family and much of his fortune. And as everyone knows, even in prison, there’s a strong distaste for those that committed crimes against children, so for Fogle, things are certainly not easy. Which is why he’s been desperately trying to appeal his sentence, but the claims keep getting more and more absurd.
As reported in the New York Post, the latest attempt by Fogle to get out of prison is to claim that the judge who presided over his case was biased. The argument? She’s a mother of teen girls and thus incapable of making a clear-headed decision in his case.
Fogle’s been throwing all sorts of things at the wall lately, hoping something will stick and he’ll get out of prison early. However, nothing he’s tried has seen his 15-year sentence diminished in the least.
His case involves a teenage prostitute and illicit photos of teen girls, so Fogle and his legal team thought a prudent line of attack would be to accuse Judge Tanya Walton Pratt of bias, since she’s a mother of 2 daughters.
But such a pathetic attempt was destined to fail from the start. His appeal was once again shot down, and considering how ridiculous this one was, it seems that Fogle has run out of options.
Specifically, Fogle plead guilty to child pornography charges and crossing state lines to pay for sex with minors. It now appears likely he’ll serve the entirety of his 15-year sentence, which is completely deserved. If he wasn’t willing to do the time, he shouldn’t have committed such disgusting crimes and been content with the millions he made for eating a mediocre sandwich.
