The number of Roy Moore’s supporters is steadily growing. On Tuesday, Sheriff Joe Arpaio added his name to the list.
“It is important to have every Republican that we can get to keep the Senate seat,” Arpaio told Breitbart. “The president knows what he is doing, and we have to keep the Senate.”
The White House agrees with Arpaio. The RNC waffled at first, but now stands firmly behind Moore as well. Multiple disturbing allegations have been made against the Alabama judge, but nothing has been proven.
The reasons why Moore’s opponent, Democrat Doug Jones, is unfit for the Senate are clear. Alabama voters don’t want to put their trust in a child molester, but they know that Jones won’t properly represent them.
“I supported the president from day one,” said Arpaio. “I know that he knows what he is doing… I am concerned about losing the Senate.”
The chorus of voices that have come out in support of Moore might be enough to swing the election from his opponent. Jones is doing better than he normally would, but pollsters are still predicting a Roy Moore victory. His campaign has survived an unbelievable amount of pressure.
Trump’s support injected fresh energy into the campaign.
“Donald Trump called Roy Moore this morning,” Moore’s campaign consultant, Drew Messer, wrote on Twitter. “Great conversation. His parting words were ‘Go get them Roy.’ Thank you, POTUS, for supporting the Judge.”
The election is next week. It looks like Moore will come out on top, despite the hurdles that he’s faced.
