Vile pervert Larry Nassar thinks you should have a little a sympathy for him. You see, he’s being forced to passively listen as more than 100 of his victims detail their pain in court. The man who could somehow still look at himself in the mirror after sexually abusing underage girls can’t handle hearing about his crimes.
Nassar sent a whiny, deluded letter to Judge Rosemarie Aquilina, complaining about his treatment in court.
“She wants me to sit in the witness box next to her for all four days so the media cameras will be directed toward her,” Nassar wrote in his six-page letter.
Judge Aquilina wasn’t having it. She tore into Nassar, exposing him as a coward and hypocrite.
“I am not a therapist. But if I was, I would not be yours… This isn’t worth the paper it’s written on, there’s no truth in there, it’s delusional,” she said.
“You may find it harsh that you are here listening. But nothing is as harsh than what your victims endured for thousands of hours at your hands… Spending four or five days listening to them is significantly minor considering the hours of pleasure you’ve had at their expense and ruining their lives.”
Nassar crimes are so monstrous that it’s hard to fathom how one man perpetrated all of them. For more than two decades he preyed on impressionable young gymnasts. He was put in charge of Olympians, girls who were willing to do anything to accomplish their dreams.
“Dr. Nassar is no doctor at all, I’ll refer to him as Larry,” Olympian Jamie Dantzscher told the court.
“I remember your obnoxious laugh and how you would slurp the drool off your lip… I don’t see you laughing now.”
Nassar needs to get used to feeling uncomfortable. Every single victim who wants to face him in court will be given the opportunity.
Judge Aquilina had encouraging words for one of Nassar’s victims: “You are not defined by this… You will never be defined by what this predator has done. You need to release yourself of that.”
