The turbulent Alabama Senate election will be decided today. Roy Moore’s wife, Kayla, might have accidentally given her husband’s opponent a last-minute boost by her tone-deaf comments regarding Jews.
“I tell you all this because I see you all and I want to set the record straight while they’re here,” Kayla seethed at a campaign rally. She accused the mainstream media of lying about her family. In addition to the revolting sexual abuse allegations, journalists have accused them of anti-semitism.
“One of our attorneys is a Jew… We have very close friends that are Jewish and rabbis, and we also fellowship with them,” Kayla said.
The awkward comment will be used as fodder for internet memes and attacks against Roy. Our attorney is a Jew. It’s cringe-worthy. Liberals pounced on her words instantly. Roy recently got into a verbal spat about George Soros, giving the left another angle to latch onto.
Team Moore has withstood a lot. Voters may dislike some of what Kayla said, but will they abandon her husband because of it?
“These women… had not come forward for 34 years, but they waited 30 days before this general election to come forward,” Roy complained.
At the same rally where Kayla spoke about anti-semitism, an old military buddy of Roy’s related a strange story. While in Vietnam, the pair accidentally stumbled into an underage brothel.
“I could tell you what I saw, but I don’t want to… There were certainly pretty girls. And they were girls. They were young. Some were probably very young,” he said.
They walked out.
“That was Roy, honorable, disciplined, morally straight, highly principled.”
