Omarosa Manigault Newman’s humiliating dismissal from the White House must still rankle.
The former presidential aide and current reality show contestant boasted that she wouldn’t vote for Trump again “in a million years.” She uttered the snarky comment during a taping of “Celebrity Big Brother.”
The White House shot back immediately.
“Omarosa was fired three times on ‘The Apprentice,’ and this is the fourth time we let her go… She had limited contact with the president while here… she has no contact now,” White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Raj Shah told reporters.
Omarosa and Trump have a long, convoluted history together. Even though he kicked her off of The Apprentice multiple times, she remained a fan favorite. She accepted a high profile role within Trump’s White House, a role she butchered so badly that she was forced to resign within a year.
She claims, however, that she didn’t want to work with Trump when she became his aid. Instead, she says she wanted to serve the country.
“I felt like it was, like, a call to duty. I felt that I was serving my country, not serving him,” she said. “Whenever was it accepting a political appointment? It was always about the country.”
Omarosa shouldn’t be taken seriously. She’s an entertainer with an insatiable lust for attention. Her job at the White House is over, so she’s trying to stay relevant by trashing President Trump.
Oddly, she also made a point to brag about how loyal she was before she threw Trump under the bus.
“It’s just been so incredibly hard to shoulder what I shouldered for those two years because I was so loyal to a person. And I didn’t realize that by being loyal to him, it was going mean I was going to lose 100 other friends,” she whined.
