Well I guess this has reached it’s peak now. The shootings in Louisiana and Minnesota of two Black men that lead to the death of 5 innocent officers have reached major sports once again and the misguided athletes that think they’re making a difference. They’re making statements, alright, just on the completely wrong side of the argument.
This comes to us from Minneapolis, Minnesota where the local women’s national basketball team, named the Minnesota Lynx, staged a protest on court during warm ups and a moment of silence for Philando Castile. They wore t-shirts in support of Black Lives Matter and they were sickening!
Upon seeing this, 4 off-duty officers that were working the game, quit on the spot and we commend them for not bowing down to this liberal, racist agenda and demonstration!
Four off-duty Minneapolis police officers working the Minnesota Lynx game at Target Center on Saturday night walked off the job after the players held a news conference denouncing racial profiling, then wore Black Lives Matter pregame warm-up jerseys.
Lt. Bob Kroll, president of the Minneapolis Police Federation, the union that represents rank-and-file officers, praised them for quitting. “I commend them for it,” he said.
Kroll said the four officers also removed themselves from a list of officers working future games. He did not know who the officers were. “Others said they heard about it and they were not going to work Lynx games,” he said.
Asked if other officers will fill in for those who quit, Kroll said, “If [the players] are going to keep their stance, all officers may refuse to work there.”
The three-time WNBA champions wore black T-shirts that read “Change starts with us, justice and accountability” and on the back had Philando Castile’s and Alton Sterling’s names along with “Black Lives Matter” and a Dallas Police Department emblem.
This is disgusting. All you’re doing is supporting the murder of 5 innocent officers.
At a pregame news conference, Lynx forward Rebekkah Brunson said the players were “wearing shirts to honor and mourn the loss of precious American citizens and to plead change for all of us.”
“We are highlighting a longtime problem of racial profiling,” said forward Maya Moore, the 2014 WNBA MVP.
ALl you’ve done is added fuel to the fire that is dividing the country and setting race relations back 50 years. Dr King would be turning in his grave at this abomination of “support.” What would he say if he saw this? He’d denounce all of you. I think we should boycott the Minnesota Lynx! Who’s with me!?
