Obama’s final (Thank God!) State Of The Union speech was received by millions around the country to mixed reviews, as it was largely a more-of-the-same speech about what Obama thinks we should do, and ignoring all the issues he’s caused in the last seven years.
One of the main points of argument was when Obama mentioned Islam and the rise of reasonable anti-Islamic sentiment in the wake of Sharia Law, terrorism, and refugees run amok in Europe.
Obama said,
When politicians insult Muslims, when a mosque is vandalized, or a kid bullied, that doesn’t make us safer. That’s not telling it like it is. It’s just wrong. It diminishes us in the eyes of the world. It makes it harder to achieve our goals. And it betrays who we are as a country.
This was an obvious jab at Donald Trump, who called for banning Muslim immigrants from coming in until the government finds out what’s going on – a policy that has been proven right time and time again, by the way.
Donald, not content with sitting idly by, issued this statement to Obama, courtesy of Fox News,
On Obama’s remarks, Trump said it’s “probably true” that the president doesn’t like him.
Trump said Obama continues to refuse to use the words “radical Islamic terrorism” and doesn’t want to talk about the real problems in the world.
“I think this man is living in a fantasy land,” he said.
