This is why Trump needs to be in office. He’s a man of conviction.
As his own Campaign manager was charged with simple battery by former Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields, Trump viewed the tape and stood strong in support of Corey Lewandowski. We think and agree with Trump that the simple battery charge brought against him is completely ridiculous.
Here’s the video of the alleged “assault.”
Here’s what Trump had to say on this.
“I back people up. I back our country up,” Trump said, going on to add later, “I stick up for people when people are unjustly accused.”
“She wasn’t yanked down. She didn’t even have any expression,” he said.
As Cooper pushed Trump over the incident, Trump said, “She was grabbing me. Am I supposed to press charges? …Maybe I should. She was grabbing me. Just so you understand, she was off-base.”
Mockingly, he said at another point, “My arm is killing me. It has never been the same.”
Trump noted that Fields was carrying a pen, which “could have been a knife, it could have been just a pen which is very dangerous.” He also said she shouldn’t have been continuing to try to ask questions and, at another point, suggested that Secret Service might have thought her pen was a “little bomb.”
“She’s not a baby,” Trump said.
This is exactly what I would have done. He moved someone away from a Presidential candidate that broke through the secret service accompanying Trump and move her to the side. He didn’t throw her down or assault her in any way. And it looks, to me, like she didn’t even care about it after as she continued walking forward like nothing happened.
Michelle Fields, you need to grow up, toughen up, and stop contributing to this PC, sissy culture.
