Democrats’ are finally being called out on their decades-long protection of Bill Clinton. The same party that pored over every President Trump’s every word to find evidence of sexism deliberately buried multiple sexual assault allegations involving Clinton.
MSNBC host Chris Hayes surprised his followers Friday by calling for another look into the allegations against Clinton. Multiple women have accused the former president of rape, and their stories are rarely told.
As gross and cynical and hypocrtical as the right's "what about Bill Clinton" stuff is, it's also true that Democrats and the center left are overdue for a real reckoning with the allegations against him.

Democrats pretend that they care about ending sexual harassment and assault, but their actions belie their claims. The party is still feasting on the allegations surrounding Alabama Senate hopeful Roy Moore, yet his supposed crime was far less brutal than what Clinton is accused of.
Juanita Broderick, a former nursing home administrator, claims that Clinton violently raped her in 1978 when he was Arkansas Attorney General. Her account is chilling:
“Then he tries to kiss me again. And the second time he tries to kiss me he starts biting my lip … He starts to, um, bite on my top lip and I tried to pull away from him. And then he forces me down on the bed. And I just was very frightened, and I tried to get away from him and I told him ‘No,’ that I didn’t want this to happen but he wouldn’t listen to me. … It was a real panicky, panicky situation.”
The recollection grows more terrible as Broderick continues.
“I was even to the point where I was getting very noisy, you know, yelling to ‘Please stop.’ And that’s when he pressed down on my right shoulder and he would bite my lip. … When everything was over with, he got up and straightened himself, and I was crying at the moment and he walks to the door, and calmly puts on his sunglasses.”
That’s just one of Clinton’s accusers. Democrats need to come up with a better response than ignoring the allegations.
Read this account, in light of all we've been hearing and reading this last month, and ask yourself if it's credible. https://t.co/8jymWjFpiF
