Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough was nearly forced to say something positive about President Trump. The success of Republican tax reform bill incenses the left, but a plethora of huge corporations swept in to defend the measure almost immediately after it passed.
Hundreds of thousands of Americans are set to receive juicy holiday bonuses as a direct result of the new tax bill.
“Our big and very popular Tax Cut and Reform Bill has taken on an unexpected new source of ‘love’ – that is big companies and corporations showering their workers with bonuses,” Trump wrote on Twitter.
“This is a phenomenon that nobody even thought of, and now it is the rage. Merry Christmas!”
Scarborough the Grinch refused to get into the Christmas spirit.
“Showering their workers! Thank you, Chairman Mao,” he snarled on his morning show.
Nothing is ever enough to satisfy the left’s greed and entitlement. Scarborough wasn’t the only one who found something to complain about when companies began announcing that employees would receive special holiday bonuses.
“Over the last ten years, AT&T has paid an average tax rate of 8 percent a year. They have 80,000 fewer employees today than they had then,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer whined.
“Tax breaks don’t lead to job creation. They lead to big CEO salaries and money for the very, very wealthy.”
AT&T announced Wednesday that over 200,000 of its employees will be receiving $1,000 when Trump signs the new tax bill.
“Sinclair Broadcast Group announced that ‘a result of tax reform legislation, it will pay a special $1,000 bonus to almost 9,000 full-time and part-time regular employees…
Comcast NBCUniversal told more than 100,000 workers that they will get $1,000 bonuses to more than 100,000 workers, attributing the move to tax cuts,” lists the Daily Mail.
Trump is still winning. Democrats need to get over it.
