Sen. Mitch McConnell threw his support behind Robert Mueller Tuesday.
“Well look, I agree with the president’s lawyers that Bob Mueller should be allowed to finish his job… I think he was an excellent appointment. I think he will go wherever the facts lead him and I think he will have great credibility with the American people when he reaches a conclusion of this investigation,” the Senate majority leader told Capitol Hill reporters.
McConnell’s words came after President Trump fired an invective at Mueller on Twitter.

We would like it to end quickly and soon and the president has contended since day one and will continue to do so, that there was absolutely no collusion between his campaign and any outside force or country and so I don’t understand why it’s hard for anyone to process.”
“Special Council is told to find crimes, whether a crime exists or not. I was opposed to the selection of Mueller to be Special Council. I am still opposed to it. I think President Trump was right when he said there never should have been a Special Council appointed because…..
