Vice President Mike Pence is basking in the glow of success. Tax reform is now a reality; the economy is surging forth. On Wednesday Pence appeared on the Laura Ingraham Show to boast about the administration’s accomplishments.
“To be here for the largest tax cut in the history of the country — the kind of tax reform we haven’t seen for 31 years — and at the same time to repeal the individual mandate in Obamacare and open up ANWR to environmentally responsible drilling is just humbling for me to be a part of,” Pence gloated.
Pence’s quiet, measured demeanor means that he’s often overshadowed by his boss. President Trump is the center of attention every time he enters a room; Pence is a less arresting figure.
However, Pence is great at being interviewed. He shined on Ingraham’s show last night. It was a celebratory day for anyone who supports Trump’s vision of America.
“When the American people start to see more in their paychecks in February, they’re going to start to realize that the president’s vision… is going to sell itself,” he said.
The Trump administration got off to a rocky start, but it seems to be working through the hiccups. Washington wasn’t quite ready for a leader as unique as Trump.
“We’re just getting started.” Pence is so confident in the agenda that he’s trying to implement that he was willing to assure Ingraham that more positive changes are coming in the future.
Slowly but surely, Trump is accomplishing his campaign promises.
