President Trump displayed his strong conservative values this week by inviting radio host Michael Savage to a state luncheon attended by French President Emmanuel Macron. Trump’s supporters are thrilled. He demonstrated that he still cares about the issues that got him elected.
Savage has been to Washington for nearly 30 years. Yet this week he had multiple meetings in the Oval Office. He also met with Sen. Lindsey Graham.
“I’m in awe of our great nation,” Savage during a Washington broadcast of his radio show. “Washington is much more beautiful than the media would lead you to believe… I was called to the mountain.”
Considering how liberal Macron is, some people thought that Trump might fill the French president’s visit with moderate thinkers. Instead, he introduced someone like Savage. The plan has been in the works for at least a month.
“I swear to God, I just got an email just now, I may as well share it with you because I’m going. I would be a fool not to go. There is a huge diplomatic luncheon coming up at the end of April in the White House with the president of France and a huge contingent of diplomats, and diplomatic staff, and who else, I don’t even know, that the White House invited me to it, and I’m going,” Savage gushed to his listeners last month.
“I’m going to Washington, D.C. I’m going to go to the aeronautics and space museum, I’m going to go to the great — the great art gallery — the Portrait Gallery, visit some relatives, all at the end of April.”
Trump knows who put him in the White House. It wasn’t people who are politically correct. Savage wields a massive amount of influence. 10 million people regularly tune in to his show.
