Meghan McCain called out the liberal media during Tuesday’s episode of The View.
The average MSNBC and CNN anchor treats Trump and his supporters like they’re idiots. They’re willing to completely discount half the country. If you live in a small town or rural area, the left thinks you’re dumb.
“I will say, this is a big gift to Trump supporters. 77 percent of Americans — 77 — believe that the national television and newspaper media outlets report fake news, 89 percent of Republicans believe that,” McCain said.
“There’s already this implication when you hear people like Jim Acosta saying Trump supporters, their brains don’t, whatever the quote is, their ‘elevators don’t go to the top floor.’”
McCain knows what she’s talking about. She’s been on the receiving end of a lot of vicious comments.
“There’s an idea that the media, especially people in DC, hate the Trump administration, hate Republicans, hate the people in the middle of the country,” she continued.
“And when you’re sitting there, and by the way, Jonathan Karl, Andrea Mitchell, Mika Brzezinski, these are not people I would certainly not call conservatives, or people in my vein, came out and criticized the dinner as well.”
Most Americans no longer trust CNN or MSNBC. President Trump opened their eyes. The supposedly neutral organizations refuse to cover the Trump administration in a fair way. They make up lies about him, they twist the truth to make him look bad.
McCain is one of the few honest voices on The View. One of her co-hosts, Joy Behar, is an extremely vocal anti-Trump critic who’s made a name for herself by mocking the administration. A few months ago she ridiculed Vice President Mike Pence’s Christian faith.
The outcry was so fierce that Behar was forced to apologize. Most of the liberal media’s anti-Trump antics, however, are treated differently. Apologies are rare.
